Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Island Baptist is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. IBC members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as mowing the church lawn, to preparing the church bulletins.

Sunday Morning Worship –   Service at 10:30.

Children’s Ministry – Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, youth group, and other seasonal events encourage our kids in their understanding of God and preparing them for life in the world.

Women’s Ministry – If you want to explore the riches of God’s Word and encounter God’s grace in loving relationships with other women, then there’s a place for you! There is a Bible Study group that meets at 9:30a.m. each Tuesday.  The women plan outstanding events to bring refreshment and encouragement to their lives and others, like the annual Women’s Retreat and the Christmas Tea.

Men’s Ministry – They meet every Saturday at 8. They enjoy various recreational and service activities together through the year.

Youth Ministry  – Relevant Biblical discussions plus dynamic activities such as service opportunities, missions projects, and camping are some of the growing experiences the youth are involved in.

Music – Adult choir practices Wednesday evenings, 6:30—8:00 p.m. We’re always looking for more who can join us in praising God with music. No previous experience necessary. Children’s groups are formed seasonally.

Home Bible Studies – Home Bible Studies are a great way to dig deeper into the Bible while establishing friendships. If you are interested in being a part of a home Bible Study, please contact the church office at (360) 387-6171.

For More Information on any of the above ministries, go to this page or call the church office at (360)387-6171.
